Silvia Mazzorana, the new team member of ELS Global Logistics Solutions Worldwide, SAU will be working on strategizing and the strengthening of sales leads.

Innovo Shipping and Logistics’ team, Globalia member in Yangon, went for a company trip to the picturesque Ngwe Saung Beach for a team retreat programme. The beach which is situated in the west coast of Myanmar is around 245 Km from the capital.
Innovo team spent a gala time on beach for two nights- three days during which they had spent some quality time playing team games, sampling exotic seafood and visiting the beautiful spots in the Ngwe Saung coast.
Team members got to discover that diversity is their greatest asset while trust, cooperation and effective communication are the key to a team’s success. Structured activities not only encourage individual development, but also bring all members together for a common cause. The company trip has tremendously fostered the team spirit of Innova Shipping and they are sure to perform even better in the coming year.

RBG Africa Logistics, a company specializing in ship and cargo related services for containers, break-bulk, Ro-Ro and project cargo for shipments, has now ventured into the field of Oil & Gas. Africa Logistics’ extensive experience in the Mozambican business coupled with its strong network of partners and expertise in the maritime industry has a huge potential to strengthen its position in the extremely fast-growing Oil & Gas Services industry in Mozambique. In 2011, off the coast of Mozambique, one of the largest gas fields in the world was discovered, with up to 15 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in place. The oversized boiler was transported by Gateway Logistics from the supplier in China to San Miguel Foods Inc. plant located at Davao del Sur, Philippines. They were in charge of handling the shipments along with customs clearance, delivery and setting of the cargo.

Q. Can you tell us a little about Shanghai Multiplex’ history?
A. Our company was established in 2006, and since then we have been providing all kinds of international logistics services including air, sea and road freight, custom clearance, import, export, warehousing, door to door deliveries and much more. No matter if the consignments are large project cargo requiring chartered/heavy lift transport or time-critical products where service failure can be critical, we are here to provide our clients with access to all the expertise they might need.
Q. Why did you decide to become a freight forwarder, and how did you get into the industry?
A. While in university, I did my majors in logistics management and after completing the course I worked at an airport terminal for 5 years. This was when I thought about starting my own logistics company which would offer prompt and creative logistics solutions for the clients and since then I have been working for Shanghai Multiplex.
Q. What do you enjoy most about being a freight forwarder?
A. Freight forwarding is one of those jobs which involve a lot of brainwork and coordination. The day to day challenges in the freight forwarding industry is something which always keeps me interested in my job. Q. Where do you see your company in 10 years?
A. The freight forwarding industry is expected to go through loads of major changes in the coming years, most of which would involve automation and digitization. Electronic transactions are sure to develop step by step and a time will come when the shipper might book space, arrange trucks and go for custom clearance services online. Therefore, we as traditional logistics service provider must also be ready with digitized and value-added services which would be suitable for all kind of customer requirements.
E-Commerce giant Amazon has recently launched their FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) Service in Australia. Local and International Sellers can now deliver their inventory/stock into an Amazon facility where it will then facilitate Storage, Picking, Packing & Shipping to Customers across Australia. With the official launch of FBA Service in Australia, Globalia Sydney is now offering a fully-fledged “Preparation Service” to ensure goods meet strict warehouse criteria.
