In February 2017 A&L CARGO, GLB Haiphong member, handled the freight chartering of 1,054m3 steel structure equipment from Haiphong to Padang.
This break bulk shipment required managing the inland transportation from the local factory to Haiphong port and the freight chartering from Haiphong port to Padang port. With pieces as big as 15.3m x 2.5m x 2.0m and weighing up to 13,000kgs, the team handled the loading and discharging at both ends, as well as the dunnage, lashing and securing of the cargo on the vessel.
Well done team!
Our GLB agent in Haiphong has been busy with shipments of steel structure recently as part of the Barth Super Thermal Power project in India
Three shipments (adding up to 60,000cbm) were required to transport the huge structures (some of them as big as 28.2m x 2.92m x 3.60m and weighing up to 56,000kgs) from Haiphong to Haldia, India. Although this was no longer a challenge for the A&L Cargo team, who are already experts in handling this type of breakbulk assignments and smoothly managed the loading and discharging at both ends as well as the dunnage, lashing and securing of the cargo on vessel.
At the end of 2016 the A&L Cargo team, GLB member in Haiphong, was asked to participate in the VIP Green Port Project.
The task consisted in the break bulk shipment of 2 Sets of QC Crane from Ho Chi Min to Haiphong and then transporting it by truck to the client’s jobsite. The cargo had a total volume of 6,640 cubic meters and it included pieces of up to 70,000kgs and 43.8 x 4.5 x 3.3m.
This rather challenging assignment was smoothly handled by the team, who took care of the loading and discharging at both ends as well as the dunnage, lashing and securing of the cargo on vessel.
Well done team
